Where do we go when we leave this planet?
(According to the scriptures)
There is a story in the bible IN THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 16 starting with verse 19, there was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 and at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man's table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores.22 the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell where he was being tormented, he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side. He called out father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for i am in agony in these flames. But Abraham said child, remember that during your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in agony. Besides all this between you and us a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who might want to pass from here to you cannot do so, and no one can cross.
In the passage of the rich man and Lazarus the beggar, Lazarus dies and is carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom (paradise – where we await resurrection). And the rich man was suffering in hell
Psalms 23:4-5 Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. This passage correlates with the passage of Lazarus, the beggar being comforted and eating in paradise while his enemy (the rich man) watches him from hell.
Luke 23:43 and Jesus said unto him, verily I say unto thee, today thou shalt be with me in paradise. Jesus took one of the thieves with him to paradise that day but entered the kingdom of heaven before anybody else three days later, so paradise is the spirit world where us Christians go to rest from our labors.
Mathew 10:28 and fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell
Here in this passage Jesus differentiates between our external carnal body and our internal spiritual body being our soul
The scriptures say the testimony of two is true, so if 2 or more scriptures agree or give the same message then we can believe the story.
In Christ, when we leave this planet we are carried by the angels to paradise. In paradise, other saints welcome and greet us as they are resting from their labors also awaiting resurrection. To contact us our Eternal gospel church email. eternalgospel@live.com
